1) STATUS: 11-4-13 Comments to be addressed.
11-22-13 UNDERGROUND PLUMBING ONLY APPROVED. COMMENTS TO BE ADDRESSED.
2) The following comments based upon the 2009 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform Plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations. RESOLVED 11-22-13.
3) M1.01 Provide the size for the combined FW piping from SP-1 & SP-2. RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-22-13.
4) M1.01 The vents from the two floor drains in Mechanical Room B10 and LS-1 must rise to a point at least 6" above the flood rim of the fixtures before being joined together. (UPC 905.3) RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-22-13.
5) M1.01 The combined pumped waste water from SP-1 & SP-2 appears to be 100 GPM flowing into a 4" floor sink FS-1. UPC Table 7-4 allows up to 50 GPM of intermittant pumped discharge to equal six fixture units which per UPC 702.1 may be accomodated by a 3" P-trap. Provide clarification that the 4" P-trap on FS-1 will accomodate up to 100 GPM. RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-22-13.
6) M1.01 SP-1 and SP-2 have a combined pumping capacity of 100 GPM flowing into LS-1. Clarify that the combined pumping capacity of the duplex lift station through 2" piping will produce 100 GPM of flow. RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-22-13.
7) M1.01 The 4" gravity sewer line serving the building is calculated to be receiving up to 100 GPM of pumped waste water. Per UPC 710.5 this calculates out to 200 drainage fixture units (gravity flow). Based upon UPC Table 7-5, a 4" horizontal waste line will handle the flow if the slope is 1/4" per foot. Please clarify. RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-22-13.
