Advisory Information:

1st Review 10/01/2013 - Corrections Required.  To expedite issue of permit please call Tom Furch @ (907) 267-4964 to discuss response to fire comments prior to resubmittal.  .  Specifically show locations for FE & signage locations for Comments 1 & 2 as note 11 & 12 on sheet G100 is too vague and needs to be specifically shown on plans before approval.  Note:  The original  locations may be adjusted and field approved providing it meets code but keep in mind you would then be at the inspectors interpretion as to what meets code.  A delay in deciding or altering could result in an additional inspection and fee.

.

1.  Show size, type, & locations of fire extinguishers on plans.

.

2.  Show the location of the required occuppant load sign.  It is anticipated this will be at either hostess area 102 or vestibule 101.

.

3.  To avoid having to add additional fixtures at final inspection adjust emergency lighting or have engineer comment as to opinion of coverage.  Depending on orientation and method of mounting fixture lighting may be insufficient in both dining area 106B and bar area 103 (Area the length of bar between stools and opposite booths - (See Fire plan sheet E101 for marking of areas)).

.

4  Comment and/or provide cut sheet to security gate across exit thru the mall.  Will gate have an interior emergency release?

.

5.  Since two exits are required from the restaurant please verify that the operating hours of the restaurant and mall will not conflict so that access through the mall is restricted by securing the mall opening (security gate).

.

6.  Since the intent is to have a stand alone fire alarm panel located within the restaurant and intertied to the mall fire alarm comment on the need for access to this panel.  Will a separate Knox box be provided at the main restaurant entrance or will access be available through the security gate?
