2. The following comments based on the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) and 2009 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations.
3. Drawing A-1, 5th Floor Plan; Please Clarify the Means of Egress Illumination. Verify/show the emergency exit discharge lighting per IBC Section 1006.3. Most of the required emergency lighting probably exists in the building; however, the new build-out requires additional emergency lighting in the newly created corridors. 09/19/13 Deferred to Electrical Submittal. 09/19/13
4. Drawing A-1, 5th Floor Plan; The plan does not indicate exit sign locations. Verify/show the exit sign locations per IBC Section 1011.1. Most of the required exit sign locations probably exist in the building; however, the new build-out appears to require additional exit signage. 09/19/13
