1. It appears there is a sign that is ground supported and attached to the wall. It is not clear how this sign is constructed or how it is supported for out-of-plane wind loads. Please clarify.
Comment remains. The design clarifies that this sign is not ground supported, but supported by the wall on a frame. It is still not clear on the drawings how this frame is constructed as no members sizes or connections have been indicated. Materail specifications for the aluminum must be provided and if there are steel bolts there must be provisions for dissimilar materials provided (steel bolts and aluminum members). No design of the frame has been provided as it appears the calculations provided only deals with the anchoring of a channel to the wall. No design of the rod support anchorage or rod support has been provided. WAB - 9/3/2013
2. The wall sign is indicated to be attached with 1/2" X 6" long lag screws, but doesn't give a spacing or location of screws. Please clarify.
Item remains. Spacing of bolts has been provided, but please provide provisions for steel bolts in contact with aluminum. WAB - 9/3/2013
3. There appears to be a third sign that is a wall sign, and no fastening requirements have been provided. It shows up on the south elevation, and appears to be called "House of Holy w/ Rock Sign." Please clarify.
Item remains. It doesn't appear as if a response has been provided. Please clarify. WAB - 9/3/2013
