1. HEADER AT STOREFRONT

The plans note a 1/2 in. x 2 in. flat bar spanning the width of the opening (12 ft.). No calculations were provided showing the adequacy of the bar supporting the out-of-plane wind loads of the storefront below plus the tributary wind loads from the glass block above. It does not appear the bar will be sufficient for both flexure and deflection. Please clarify design.
