1) STATUS:   5-24-13 Comments to be addressed.

2) The following comments based upon the 2009 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform Plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations.

3) P-100            Concerning the existing grease trap (note #8): Where is the existing flow control fitting and vent piping (UPC 1014.2.1) and where does the outlet connect to the sanitary waste main?

4) P-100            The P-trap for the 3" FS-1 in the middle of the bar area requires vent piping. (UPC 901.1)

5) P-100            The water heater enclosure for HWH-1 requires a floor drain per local amendment to UPC 508.4.

6) P-100            The waste piping from the two new 3" FS-1's serving the soda guns (V1) and the beer tower (V3) and the existing floor sink serving the soda dispenser (V4) will not be compatible with the disposed waste byproducts if the contractor chooses to use cast iron pipe and fittings. Please clarify.

7) P-101            The high efficiency water heaters (HWH-1) are required to have the exhaust condensate processed through a condensate neutralizer. (local amendment to IFGC 307.2)

8) P-101            Provide a water heater installation schematic diagram providing details for gas piping, venting, condensate piping, domestic HW & CW piping, HWC piping, expansion tank, circ. pump (P-1), etc.

9) P-101            Notes #9 and #10 to specify the mixing valve as TMV-1 to meet the requirements of UPC 413.1.

10) P-101          HWH-1 requires seismic bracing per UPC 508.2. Please clarify.

11) P-101          P-1 @ 5.5 GPM, pumping domestic hot water through the existing 1/2" copper HWC line provides a velocity of approximately 8FPS. UPC 610.12.1 allows a maximum of only 5 FPS. Please address.

12) P-400          The custom trough sink being provided by owner will be required to have a third party listing by a recognized agency. Provide manufacturer's submittal literature on this item.

13) 6/P-401       The 3-compartment sink requires a direct connection (UPC 704.3), a center waste outlet (UPC 1001.2) with vented P-trap (1014.1.1) and a vented flow control fitting (UPC 1014.2.1) prior to entering the grease trap.

14) K-2             The under bar 3-compartment sink (B13) requires a center waste outlet (UPC 1001.2). Please clarify.

15) K2              The 3-compartment sink (#29) requires a direct connect to the sanitary waste.

16) M-100 & M-300          Note #21 on M-100 refers to hood #KH-2 as a condensate hood and the detail on M-300 shows a full perimeter gutter drain. Please address the perimeter drain piping.

17) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised plumbing pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.                       RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT.
