Advisory Information:

Correction, MG 4-26-13.

1.  Provide a drainage report prepared and stamped by a civil engineer licensed in the State of Alaska per the 2007 DCM Ch:2.

2.  The Engineer shall verify that the existing storm drain facility has sufficient capacity and is in sufficient condition for the proposed project.  DCM 2.2.D, 2.2.D.8, 2.4.B, 2.4.D.6, 2.4.F, 2.7.B.7,  DDG 5.9.1, 5.9.2.

3.  Ref. C2.2, SDP-01,  The minimum diameter of storm drain pipe is 12 inches.  Please revise and resubmit.   2007 DCM 2.7.B.2.

4.  Indicate the installation of storm drain pipe locator tape three feet below finish grade or two feet deep in the street structural section. MASS Section 20.13 Article 13.3.E, page 38.

5.  With the information provided it appears that the (manhole to manhole storm drain) depth of cover does not always reach the minimum 4' as required in DCM 2.7.J.  Insulation (indicate type, width and thickness) and/or heat tracing is required in this situation.

6.  Ref. C3.0, "Subbase Grading B" and "Suitable Fill" is proposed.  Please provide a material description per M.A.S.S. or provide a specification page that describes the material proposed.  As is without specification the plan is incomplete.

7.  In regard to the proposed dry wells.  Please verify compliance with DDG Section 9.2; "Infiltration controls shall not be located within the 1:1 plane plus two feet from the bottom edge of the control to the property line or right-of-way at finished grade when an easement is not provided on the adjacent property or right-of-way."

8.  PD comments may be incomplete pending further submittals.
