4) M402 thru M446 and M701 thru M704          A standard sheet note states: "Provide fire-caulking to fill annular space around duct penetrations through floor assemblies."  IBC 716.6.1 requires a fire damper for duct penetrations of only one floor assembly and a shaft is required when a duct penetrates more than one floor assembly per IBC 708.2. The standard sheet note is therefore incorrect.      RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.

5) M402 & M704          The 4 ducts going up to AHU-4 require fire/smoke dampers where they enter and exit a rated shaft enclosure required per IBC 708.2. Detail 7/A035 is incorrectly shown.        RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.

6) M406         The two 2-Hour rated elevator machine rooms #B1110 & #B1020 each have four wall penetrations that require fire dampers. (IBC 716.5.2)      RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.

7) M406 & M416           The 12" exhaust duct transitioning from Ski Storage B1015 up thru the floor/ceiling assembly to Receiving 1005 requires a fire damper at the floor penetration. (IBC 716.6.1)              RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.

8) M411         Clarify where the 120" x 54" R/A UP goes to.          RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.

10) M412         The 20" FD should be located at the floor/ceiling penetration. The wall around the Women's Toilet #1300 is not rated.         RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.

11) M412        The 28 SF R/A opening requires a fire damper at the rated floor/ceiling penetration. (IBC 716.5.2)         RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.

12) M412        The 24" x 48" SA UP (AHU-7) requires a fire damper at the rated floor/ceiling assembly. (IBC 716.5.2)        RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.

13) M415 & 1/M601          There is a space on the Boiler Room wall adjacent to the bathrooms dedicated for electrical and controls. All ducting passing through this space must be at least 6 feet above the equipment below it per NEC 110.26(F)(1)(a). Please clarify.          RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.

14) M416         With reference to sheet note #3, the field applied grease duct enclosure for this project is required to be rated for two hours (IMC506.3.10). Provide more clarification on the plans.           RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-11-13.
