Review Number: 309054
Permit Status: Corrections, Approved 3/5/2013
1) The University is not interpreted as an anchor store to the mall because it is a combustible building, does not meet the requirement of the IFC section 402.7.3.1, and is not allowed to have a separate alarm system.
2) Device location and alarm function has not been verified. The contractor needs to provide a matrix of actions for the existing new panel to verify interface capability.
3) Provide a schedule of reporting results to areas and who the central monitoring station is for what area to verify response capability to correct zones, flow and tamper valves.
4) A meeting is required as to what the code interpretation is for the mall in terms of the alarm requirements from the mall to the UAA occupancy of the building.
Comments 2/26/2013. Dana from Siemens came by the office and we red-lined the plans to indicate the corrections.
He also Made additonal comments to update the sequence of events to include the existing panel interface for alarm response.
Provide placard signs at each alarm panel with a YAH's map to indicate the location of the other panel in the mall.
One set of plans was given to Dana for revision.
The plans are approved with updated information on the reflected drawings. 3/5/2013.
