1) STATUS: 11-20-12 Comments to be addressed. 12-14-12 COMMENTS TO BE ADDRESSED. 1-03-13 APPROVED.
2) The following comments based on the 2009 International Building, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC, IMC, IFGC or any federal, state or local regulations. RESOLVED 12-14-12.
3) 1/M2.0 IMC Table 403.3 Note "h" for nail salons, requires exhaust systems that capture the contaminants and odors at their source; the intent being that no one should be breathing them in. The floor plan is laid out such that the nail table operator would be between the source and the exhaust and exposed to the adverse elements all throughout their work day. If one end of the table were to be placed against the wall directly beneath the exhaust grille, the fumes and contaminants would be drawn across the table top directly into the exhaust system with little or no exposure to personnel. 12-14-12 UNRESOLVED. THE NAIL TABLES FARTHEST FROM THE WALL ARE ABOUT 7-1/2' FROM CENTERLINE TO THE EXHAUST GRILLE. THEY ARE NOT CONSIDERED TO BE LOCATED CLOSE ENOUGH TO CAPTURE THE CONTAMINANTS AT THEIR SOURCE. RESOLVED PER NOTES ADDED TO PLANS ON 1-03-13.
4) 1/M2.0 Clarify the return air path from Esthetician 102 back to the rooftop unit. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 12-13-12.
5) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised mechanical pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature. RESOLVED 1-03-13.
