CONDITIONAL APPROVAL
The analysis for the is provided for the emergency system.
The approval will be conditinal just in case if questions are addressed during the inspection process. The engineer would be required to answer the questions to comply with the NEC chapter 571.
1. The following comments based on the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, state or local regulations.
2. EQUIPMENT REQUIRES THIRD PARTY LISTING:Please be aware that all equipment will require and be checked for third party listing per NEC 110-3. Any new or existing equipment to be reused or relocated will be checked for listing by the electrical inspector. Any equipment found without a listing will be required to go through testing to gain approval. Inspector to field verify. NO RESPONSE REQUIRED.
3. REQUIREMENT AND AGREEMENT TO PROVDE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM EMEGRENCY CODE ANALYSIS:
It has agreed between the MOA and Alaska Regional to provide approved electrical system analysis once the emergency with additional load:
a) Identification of transfer switches as shown in NEC section 517.25 figure 517.30.
b) Identification of equipment branch circuit, critical branch, and life safety branch.
c) Show the selective coordination.
d) show load calculation at each point unless they have a year of a monthly meter load.
4. When the above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three (3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stamp and signature.
