1. Status: Architectural Corrections required. 11/21/12
2. The following comments (for this change order only) based on the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) and 2009 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations.
3. Limited scope; another portion of the 2nd floor buildout; the rest of this floor buildout will be submitted at a later date. 11/21/12
4. Drawing A3, Floor Plan; Please Clarify the Means of Egress Illumination. Verify/show the emergency exit discharge lighting per IBC Section 1006.3. Most should be existing in the building; however, the new buildout requires additional emergency lighting in the newly created corridor. 11/21/12
5. Drawing A3, Floor Plan; The plan does not indicate exit sign locations. Verify/show the exit sign locations per IBC Section 1011.1. Most should be existing in the building; however, the new buildout requires additional exit signs. 11/21/12
6. Drawing A3, Floor Plan; Per IBC Section 906, Show size, type, & location of fire extinguishers, both existing & new. Extinguishers shall be located along the path of egress, near the exits, a maximum 75 ft travel from any point within the building to the extinguisher. The new
conference room door is located directly on then wall where a fire extinguisher was previously located on the base permit.
7. Drawing Axxx, Floor Plan; No door Schedule is provided with the plans. Additionally, the plans do not provide any door hardware details. Please provide door hardware details on the plans or a new Door Schedule showing hardware type & rating of both new & existing doors that meet the requirements of IBC Section 1008.1.8 and 1008.1.9. 11/21/12
8. Drawing A3, Floor Plan; The fire alarm system and sprinkler system are affected by this buildout. See Fire comments for resolution of these issues 11/21/12
