All the comments below have been addressed and corrected on the plans. Approved.

1.  The following comments based on the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, state or local regulations.

 

2.  EQUIPMENT REQUIRES THIRD PARTY LISTING:
Please be aware that all equipment will require and be checked for third party listing per NEC 110-3. Any new or existing equipment to be reused or relocated will be checked for listing by the electrical inspector. Any equipment found without a listing will be required to go through testing to gain approval. Inspector to field verify.

 

3.  EMERGENCY LIGHTING AND RECEPTACLES:

Sheet E-1 (Emergency lighting feeding from receptacles). Note !1 requires emergency and exit lighting to be connected to the nearest outlet. Please note that the emergency lighting should be connected lighting circuit. Please address.

 

4. DOCUMENTATION OF HAZARDOUS LOCATION):

Sheet E-1 (Classification areas) Note #3 addresses the hanger areas up to 18 inches about floor lovel as Class II Div II. Please note that the stated area is Class I Div. II. Refer to NEC 513. Please address.

 

5.  CIRCUIT DIRECTORY OR CIRCUIT INDENTIFICATION ON FLOOR PLAN & PANEL SCHEDULS:

Sheet E-4 (Circuit Identification – Panel Schedule). Panel schedule identify circuits as receptacles, and lighting. Please identify circuits on panel schedule that matches the floor plans. Refer to NEC 408.4A for circuit identifications.

 

6.  PANEL SCHEDULES CONNECTED LOADS AND NEC DEMAND LOADS:
Sheet E-4 (Panel Schedules Loads). The plans has panel schedule A and no panel schedule B. Please provide panel schedule B. Panels schedules shall details continuous load calculations as well as non-continuous load calculations. Panel schedule should have calculated connected loads and NEC demand loads in VA and amperes. Refer to Anchorage Administrative Code AAC 23.10.104.8.1. Please address.

 

7.  EQUIPMENT LOCATED IN HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS:

Sheet E-4 (Sump Pump in Classified Areas) . There have been questions about elevating the sump pump (item 10 & 12 in the panel schedule) that connected to the pit in the aircraft hanger. Please note when a sump pumps is connected to class I Div I, it would be consider class I Div I regardless of the elevation. Refer to NEC 513 and to the class area elevation details on sheet H-1.0. Please address.

 

8.  When the above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans at the MOA

Plans Review Office with three (3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stamp and signature.
