Thte following comment (2, 3, 4 & 5) have been addressed on the plans, reviewed and approved.
1) The following comments based upon the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations.
2) ACCESSIBILITY DESIGN STANDARD:
Sheet A405 (Accessibility Design Standard). The accessible design standard is not stated on the code notes. Please add standard ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003, to code notes.
Code have been added to the plans. Approved.Code
3) EXITING FROM THE STORE FRONT SEATING AREA:
Sheets A-110 and A-201101 (Health Department Plans and Northwest Elevation Plans). Please clarify the egress from the store front seating area. Is the store front seating area totally enclosed?
Refer to Anchorage Administrative Code AAC 10.105.8.1.
The outdoor seating istotally enclosed. It is open on the north and south side for exiting. Approved.
4) PANIC HARDWARE:
Sheet A-111 (Panic Hardware on Doors)). The occupant load for the store is 53. The doors are not provided with panic hardware. Refer to IBC Section 1008.1.10. Please address.
The panic hardware have been added to the planss. Approved.
5) WALK-IN FREEZERS AND COOLERS:
Sheet A-1111 (Walk-in Freezer and Coolers). The plans have walk-in cooler and freezer. Please verify that the walk-in cooler and freezer have the required flame spread and smoke development rating as required by IBC Section 2603.5.2.
The freezer and cooler are listed for flame spread and smoke developed per ASM E-84. Approved.
6) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised architectural pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature
