1) STATUS: 9-20-12 Comments to be addressed.
2) The following comments based upon the 2009 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform Plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations.
3) M2 & M7 Revised WH-1 model number "D-80T-250-3N" has a BTU input rating of 250 MBH, not 180. Please clarify.
4) M3 The acid waste piping should be run to FS-1 serving the soda dispenser #K-37.
5) M3 Three compartment sinks and dishwasing machines require an adjacent floor drain within 5 feet. The floor sinks (FS-1) adjacent to K-4, K-30 & K-25 are required to be flush mounted. (UPC 704.3 plus local amendment) Please clarify.
6) M3 Pre-rinse sink #K-29 is also required to be routed through a grease interceptor. (UPC 1014.1)
7) M4 Clarify required backflow protection for the CW to the water filter cartridges at K37A. (UPC 603)
8) M4 & M7 The 1-1/4" gas to WH-1 (250 MBH @ 310') appears to be undersized per UPC Table 12-8.
9) M4 & M6 The 2" gas supply to the kitchen equipment and water heater WH-1 (710 MBH @ 310') appears to be undersized per UPC Table 12-8.
10) 5/M7 The K-30 three compartment sink is also required to be regulated by a flow control fitting (UPC 1014.2.1).
11) K-1 K-5 prep sink should be designated for an indirect waste connection (UPC 801.2.3).
12) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised plumbing pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.
