0) 8-30-12     FULL SIZE PLANS DATE STAMPED 05/09/12 WERE SUBMITTED ON AUGUST 13th WITH NO APPARENT REVISIONS OR RESPONSES TO THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS DATED 7-05-12. PROVIDE THREE SETS OF REVISED DRAWINGS AND A LETTER ADDRESSING ALL OF THE COMMENTS.

 

1) STATUS:  7-05-12 Comments to be addressed.         8-02-12 FOOTING AND FOUNDATION ONLY APPROVED. COMMENTS TO BE ADDRESSED.

 

2) The following comments based on the 2009 International Building, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC, IMC, IFGC or any federal, state or local regulations.

 

3) The current plan set has many details that are not readable due to the reduced print size. Please provide three full size sets of drawings so that a complete review may be accomplished. Further comments may result after ledgible sets are provided.

 

 

4) Provide structural and seismic calculations plus fastening details for WWT-1 to include engineers stamp and signature, for structural review on a deferred submittal basis.

 

5) Boiler #B1 is not permitted on the hangar floor (IBC 412.4.4).

 

6) Provide boiler piping details similar to the water heater details.

 

7) The high efficiency gas furnace GF-1 requires condensate to be processed through a condensate neutralizer (local amendment to IFGC307.2).

 

8) Gas unit heaters installed in a Class III hangar are required to be a minimum of 10 feet vertically above the upper surface of the wings or engine enclosures of the tallest aircraft which may be housed within the hangar (local amendment to IFGC 305.11). Please clarify.

 

9) Provide radiant slab tubing performance data and details to include but not limited to maximum tubing length, GPM per loop, tubing size, zone header details, locations and areas served, insulation, tie downs, etc.

 

10) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised mechanical pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.
