1.  Status: Architectural Corrections required.  8/27/12

 

2.  The following comments based on the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) and 2009 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued.  The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations.

 

3.  Drawing No. T-1, Building Code Analysis, For the Building Description; Clarify the area of the Mezzanine located over the new Parts Storage Room.  The Mezzanine area appears to be 1,130 SF.  8/27/12

 

4.  Drawing No. T-1, Building Code Analysis, For the Building Occupancy; Revise: “S-2 Aircraft” To: “S-1 Aircraft” or clarify what will be stored in the new Parts Storage Room and the Mezzanine.  8/27/12

 

5.  Drawing No. T-1, Building Code Analysis, For the Building Occupant Load; Revise: “Mezzanine = 3” To: “Mezzanine = 4” or clarify why 300 SF per occupant is not used.  8/27/12

 

6.  Drawing No. T-1, Building Code Analysis, For the Building Occupant Load; Revise: “Storage = 3” To: “Storage = 4” or clarify why 300 SF per occupant is not used.  8/27/12

 

7.  Drawing No. A-2, Ground Floor Plan and Door Types, Identify the door sizes on the plans and verify compliance with IBC Sec. 1008.1.1.  Verify compliance with IBC Sec. 1008.1.8 for all egress doors.  8/27/12

 

8.  Drawing No. A-2, Ground Floor Plan, Window Types, Wall Types, Door Types and Frame Types; Please cross-tie the the Types to the specific locations on the Plan.  8/27/12

 

9.  Drawing No. A-3, 2ND Floor Plan; Verify/show fire extinguisher locations per IBC Section 906.1. Most should be existing; however, the new Mezzanine requires at least one fire extinguisher near the new exit.  Show fire extinguisher size, type, & location on plans.  8/27/12
