1) STATUS:   7-10-12 Comments to be addressed.

2) The following comments based upon the 2009 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform Plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations.

3) M1.0           Interior hose bibs (HB-1) in other than residential applications are considered by the AWWA Cross Connection Control Manual to be a high hazard and would normally require an RP device; however the MOA has been allowing either a PVB or an SVB for this application.

4) 3/M1.0        Water heater #11 requires 2 seismic straps (IBC 508.2).

5) 3/M1.0        Please clarify the gallon capacity and location of the water heater. If located above the ceiling it will require a drip pan with a drain connection and if it is over 6 gallons it will require structural and seismic calculations plus fastening details submitted by a structural engineer on a deferred submittal basis.

6) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised plumbing pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.
