PERMIT STATUS; Approved 5/9/2012. The items below are tied to the alternate means and shall be satisfied at the final inspection prior approval
Page 3 of the alternate request contains the description of a sequence of events. It states that upon receipt of an alarm signal that within 10-30 seconds the Airport police and Fire are called; after 40-60 seconds the MOA fire department is called.
I would approve this method but not before the following comments are resolved.
1) Prove that the phone line connection is monitored for integrity to show up as a trouble signal and that there is redundancy in the system for a secondary line.
2) Provide information as to how AFD confirms the location of these buildings for efficient response time.
3) Provide an annual inspection report of the present alarm system of the buildings to confirm proper operation of the system at the time of the final inspection.
