1) STATUS: 4-02-12 Comments to be addressed.
2) The following comments based upon the 2009 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform Plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations.
3) P1 Waste lines exiting a building footprint are required to have cleanouts within 2 feet of the building exterior (UPC 719.1).
4) P2 Floor drains are required to have trap seal protection (UPC 1007).
5) P2 Interior hose bibs (HB-6) in other than residential applications are considered by the AWWA Cross Connection Control Manual to be a high hazard and would normally require an RP device; however the MOA has been allowing either a PVB or an SVB for this application.
6) 4/P3 The reference to 11-P4 does not exist.
7) 6/P3 SS023 (@ 6 DFU's) is not permitted to be wet vented (UPC 908.1.1)
8) 8/P3, 4/P4 & 9/MP2 Coordinate with the civil engineer and the manufacturer's installation instructions and provide a burial depth for each location.
9) GP1 & 1/GP3 It appears that SS023 in Rotisserie Prep is indirect to a floor sink. This is acceptable only if it is a food prep sink (UPC 801.2.3). Please clarify.
10) GP1 FD-10 in Fresh Meat Prep requires a trap vent (UPC 901.1).
11) GP1 The 4" trap arm for FS1 @ RD061 exceeds 10 feet (UPC Table 10-1).
12) GP2 Three compartment sinks (SS023) require a center waste outlet (UPC1001.2). Please clarify.
13) GP3 The three compartment sinks (SS023) are not permitted to be wet vented (see comment #7 above).
14) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised plumbing pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.
