1) STATUS:  3-01-12 Comments to be addressed.

 

2) The following comments based on the 2009 International Building, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC, IMC, IFGC or any federal, state or local regulations.

 

3) M1.0        The new full height wall is blocking the existing 24 x 12 mall return air opening (ref. A2.1).

 

4) M1.0        The Back Room is separated from the front of the store by a full height wall (A2.1 & A6.1) with 650 CFM of return air & exhaust and 200 CFM of supply air. Please clarify the return air path to maintain the balance of air pressure. (IMC 403.1)

 

5) The tenant separation wall to the west is required to be a rated 1-Hour partition (IBC 402.7.2). The new 24 x 12 return air opening is required to have a fire damper (IBC 716.5.2).

 

6) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised mechanical pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.
