1) STATUS:   3-01-12 Comments to be addressed.

 

2) The following comments based upon the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations.

 

3) A0.1         The 5th Avenue Mall is Type "I-A" construction.

 

4) Specific fastening details for the glass storefront are to be submitted for structural review on a deferred submittal basis and approved prior to installation.

 

5) A2.1         The existing tenant separation wall should be 1-hour rated (IBC 402.7.2) and is not so designated as per the Wall Legend.

 

6) A2.1         The existing shaft wall should be rated for at least 1-Hour or 2-Hours if it connects four levels (IBC 708.4). Please clarify.

 

7) A2.1         The reference to detail #3/A3.1 storefront, should actually be to detail #2/A3.1.

 

8) A2.1         The direction of plan North is actually West.

 

9) A2.1         The new full height wall on the actual north wall, is blocking an existing air transfer grille (See M-1.0). Please clarify.

 

10) A6.1         Wall type A03 requires a top of wall slip joint. Provide details.

 

11) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised architectural pages to include clouded changes, architects stamp and signature.
