Advisory Information:

1st Review:  Provide a written response to comments along with revised drawings.

1.  A credit union more closely resembles a "B Occupancy".  Clarify/correct the code study as it references both an M & B occupancy and you have calculated the occupant load factor using 30sf per person which is for an "M Occupancy".  What is the mercantile function?  No site plan is provided.  Is this a stand alone bld or a suite in a larger building?  If part of a larger bld what are the occupancy types of the adjacent tenant spaces?  Are these the referenced "M Occupancies"?  Are the separation walls between tenants rated or have you used nonseparated use throughout the building?  Does the existing building have either a fire alarm or sprinkler system as this may be required if using non-separated use?  You indicate 2 exits are required for 1 - 500 occupants.  If two exits are required you must also provide exit signs.  Is this a type VB constructed building?

2.  Doors 106 &107 encroach into the path of egress of both the restroom and janitor closet which is not allowed per IBC 1005.2.

3.  Provide both the size and type of fire extinguisher (FE) to be placed in the cabinet.  The plans do not specifically reference the type or rating of the FE.

4.  Door 107 references a lock on the push side.  What type of lock/hardware will be provided as egress from the restroom shall not require special knowledge or effort (More than one motion to unlock & open door).  There appears to be a similiar condition on door 104.  How will you meet IBC 1008.1.9.3 to include IBC 1008.1.9.3?
