1) STATUS: 10-19-11 Comments to be addressed. 11-22-11 APPROVED.
2) The following comments based upon the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. RESOLVED 11-22-11.
3) A2a Plumbing and mechanical plans signed and sealed by an Alaska registered professional mechanical engineer will also be required. RESOLVED 11-22-11.
4) A2a Structural plans will be required for the new exterior stairs, the new exterior door and bracing for the overhead roll down fire doors. RESOLVED 11-22-11.
5) A2a Handrails are required on both sides of the new exterior stairs (IBC 1009.12) RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-16-11.
6) A2a Wall types W-2 and W-4 require slip joints at top of wall. Please clarify. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-16-11.

8) 6/A4 The new concrete wall at the landing and stairs is required to be at least 42" to create a guard (IBC 1013.1). RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-16-11.
9) 12/A6 The consulting room sink has ADA requirements to be 34" maximum above the finished floor to the flood rim of the sink or countertop, whichever is higher. (ICC/ANSI A117.1-606.3) RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-16-11.
10) 3D/A4 The required water closet clear space is 60 inches minimum, measured perpendicular from the sidewall with no other fixtures or obstructions within that space (ICC/ANSI A117.1-604.3.1). Please clarify for the benefit of the installing contractor. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 11-16-11.
11) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised architectural pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature. RESOLVED 11-22-11.
