1st Review:

1.  Provide an address on the building visible from the street fronting the property.  Show on elevation sheet A.5.  What is the street - Hartzell or E 85th?

Since the address is established as Hartzell please show specifically where on the building the numbers will be located.  Take in consideration that addressing has included the curved part of 85th Ave as part of Hartzell and that the south and or west side of the building could be used.   An address on both  S/W corners may be a solution.

2.  Work Area 119 requires a Fire Extinguisher (FE) as travel distance to the closest FE exceeds 75 ft.

Travel distance, as measured rectilineal (along the path of egress) is over 75 ft.  The FE at door 12 is not exactly along the path of egress from work area 119.  The FE in breakroom 112 is about 80 ft away.

3.  Resolved 9/20/2011:  Pre revised sheet C5.0 - Detail 10

4.  Resolved 9/20/2011: Per e-mail (Sent to MOA Project manager for submital)

5.  Resolved 9/20/2011:  Approved as explained by Melissa.  No directional arrows are required.

6.  Activation of the smoke detector for AHU1 is required to produce a visible & audible supervisory signal per IFC 907.12.  Provide a cut sheet for the device and show intended location on plans.

A cut sheet on the specific device to be used is required as well as the location of this device. A cut sheet was not included in the submital or if included was not routed to fire.  Revised sheet M0.1 references a tie in of the AHU smoke detector to the fire alarm.  Is an optional fire alarm being installed?  If yes, a separate submital, review, & permit is required and may be deferred.  Please show the intended location of either the fire alarm panel or the remote sensor

7.  Doors 03, 04, 12, & 16 appear to be access control egress doors since they are equipped with magnetic locks.  They shall meet IBC 1008.1.3.4.  How will this be achieved especially since door 19 and/or 12 may need to serve exiting in both directions.  Only door 12 is shown with a "Push to Exit" button.  Sensors are required.  Provide hardware cutsheets.  Explain how they will be openable without special knowledge or effort.  Hardware may need to be removed from door 12 and an exit sign added.

As access controlled egress doors, doors 3 & 4 are required to have not only sensors but a "Push to Exit" button.  Doors 12 & 16 also reguire sensors and push to exit buttons on the egress side.  As a required egress door, door 12 shall be available at all times and not locked against egress.  The code does not allow you to arbitrarily lock this door from the egress side when the space is unoccuppied.  If special security measures are needed an alternate means may need to be submitted.

8.  Resolved 9/20/2011 - Note 13 on sheet E5 is irrelevant (not used) although symbol has not been deleted from the drawings.
