1.  Status: Architectural Corrections required.  8/1/11   Status: Full Architectural Approval.  8/25/11

 

2.  The following comments based on the 2006 International Building Code (IBC) and 2006 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued.  The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IEBC, IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations.

 

3.  Drawing Sheet 1 of 1, Floor Plan,  Verify/show the egress lighting locations per IBC Section 1006.1.  8/1/11   Resolved.  The egress lighting is now shown.  8/25/11

 

4.  Drawing Sheet 1 of 1, Floor Plan,  Verify/show the exit paths and all exit sign locations per IBC Section 1011.1.  As a minimum, one exit sign is required at each of the two doors.  8/1/11   Resolved.   The exit signs are now shown.  8/25/11

 

5.  Drawing Sheet 1 of 1, Floor Plan,  Since this building is an E occupancy with no sprinklers installed, at least one exterior exit door at ground level is required for each classroom per IBC Section 903.2.2 and the local ammendment.  Thus, remove the entire threshhold and short wall sections, as well as the pair of 36 inch doors between the two rooms, to make the appearance of one room.  As as alternative, an additional exit door could added to the space without it's own exit.  8/1/11   Resolved.  The entire threshhold and short wall sections, as well as the pair of 36 inch doors between the two rooms, have been removed.  8/25/11

 

6.  Drawing Sheet 1 of 1, Floor Plan, Verify/show fire extinguisher location(s) per IBC Section 906.1.  8/1/11   Resolved.  The  fire extinguisher location is now shown.  8/25/11
