Advisory Information:

1.  Status: Architectural Corrections required.  5/19/11    Status: Full Architectural Approval.  6/9/11

2.  The following comments based on the 2006 International Building Code (IBC) and 2006 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued.  The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IEBC, IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations.

3.  Drawing CS-1, (IBC Building) Code Information, Verify information in the Code study that provides the type of construction for the existing building is IIB as indicated.   I believe that the type of construction for the existing 5th Avenue Mall building is IA or IB.  5/19/11   RESOLVED.  The type of construction for the existing 5th Avenue Mall building is now indicated as IB.   6/9/11

4.  Drawing CS-1, (IBC Building) Code Information, Verify information in the Code study that provides the occupancy load calculations for the GNC space as indicated.   I believe that the occupancy load in the sales (customer) area of more than 50 will require a second code compliant exit.  The existing exit in the back of the store may be used for this purpose; however, it would require a clear path of egress through the storage space with exit signs and egress lighting.  5/19/11   RESOLVED.  The occupant load has been revised so that only one exit is required from the sales portion of the store.  6/9/11
