Advisory Information:

1.  Status: Full Architectural Approval.  5/17/11

2.  The following comments based on the 2006 International Building Code (IBC) and 2006 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued.  The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IEBC, IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations.

 

3.  Drawing No. A1, Building Code Notes, and Drawing No. A2, Floor Plan, The occupant load in the customer area is greater than 100 SF per occupant indicated; however, the customer area space is served by two exits that are separated by 1/3 the customer space's diagonal in this sprinklered building.  5/17/11   RESOLVED.  The plan was redlined to indicate this.  5/17/11

 

4.  Drawing No. A2, Floor Plan, Verify/show the exit paths and all exit sign locations per IBC Section 1011.1. Most should be existing; however , the new vestibule exit door may require an exit sign.  This may be shown on the Electrical Plans.  5/17/11   RESOLVED.  The plans were redlined to indicate exit sign locations.  5/17/11

 

5.  Drawing No. A2, Floor Plan, Verify/show the egress lighting locations per IBC Section 1006.1. Most should be existing; however , the altered egress path requires egress lighting.  This may be shown on the Electrical Plans.  5/17/11   RESOLVED.  The plans were redlined to indicate egress lighting locations.  5/17/11

 

6.  Drawing No. A2, Floor Plan, Verify/show fire extinguisher locations per IBC Section 906.1. Most should be existing; however , the changes may require relocation of at least one fire extinguisher near the new exit.  5/17/11   RESOLVED.  The plan was redlined to indicate this requirement.  5/17/11
