Advisory Information:

 

1) STATUS:   4-18-11 Comments to be addressed.

 

2) The following comments based upon the 2006 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations.

 

3) 1/A-021             The 2'-8" minimum clear door opening should be frame to face of door not frame to frame. (ICC/ANSI A117.1-404.2.2)

 

4) 3/A-021             The 2'-10" max sink height is measured to the flood rim of the sink.(ICC/ANSI A117.1-606.3)

 

5) A-141 & 11/A-751              The handrail extension at the bottom of the steps adjacent to door #4 is required to continue to slope straight ahead and downward for the depth of one tread. (ICC/ANSI A117.1-505.10 & IBC 1012.5)

 

6) 1/A-751            There are only 19 treads at 11" to equal 17'-5". Please clarify.

 

7) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised architectural pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.
