Advisory Information:

All below comments resolved per submitted response & revised drawings - 4/6/2011 furch.

1.  A separate submital, review, & permit is required for the fire alarm system.  This submital may be deferred.

2.  A separate submital, review, & permit is required for the sprinkler system.  This submital may be deferred.

3.  Please show the location of both the address and "Knox" keybox on the elevation plan sheet A202.  The address should be large enough & mounted at a height that makes it visible from the street fronting the property.

4.  The elevator code requires a fire extinguisher in the elevator machine room.

5.  Fire extinguisher cabinets located on each floor of stair 1 & the elevator shaft appear to be installed within a rated wall.  Provide a detail and/or cut sheet of the cabinet to verify the wall rating is maintained.

6.  Fire extinguishers shall be along the path of egress, unobstructive, and highly visible.  The extinguishers on the 1st & 2nd floor dead end cooridors by talking rooms 130,150, & 250 should be relocated or marked at corridor corners with additional signage indicating their location.

7.  Opposing closet doors 230A & 239 in hallway H204 obstruct and encroach in the path of egress.  This is not allowed per IBC 1005.2

8.  Required exit signage is missing from the plans on architectural &/or electrical sheets at the following locations.  Stair one entrance, sitting area 308 & lobby 201. Stair two entrance, hallway 200 elevator side (Doors S202A, S201, & S301) and conference room 301 on architectural drawings only.

9.  Provide a map at the main entrance (fire alarm remote annunciator panel) showing location of the main fire alarm panel.  Provide signage on each door leading to such.

10.  The occupant load of the assembly room 301 is required to be posted per IBC 1004.3.  Show sign location and detail on plans.

11.  The assembly room on the third floor requires panic hardware on room doors 301A, B, C, stair doors S301, S302A, S101B, S101A, S102A, as well as east & west entry doors.  Please note on door schedule.

12.  Please clarify the use of the exterior composite plastic panels.  Panels shall meet IBC 2605.2 specifically the provision for IBC 2606.4 relating to self ignition, smoke developed index, etc.  Provide product info.
