CONSTRUCTION REQUIRING SPECIAL INSPECTION

Please clarify the attachment method for the water heater. The structural design notes two methods: lag screw and post-installed masonry anchors. Please note that masonry anchors are subject to special inspection requirements of IBC Chapter 17.

The following is required if post-installed masonry anchors are used:

SPECIAL INSPECTION PERSONNEL

Please provide a letter from the Owner/Owner's Representative, or Special Inspection Agency stating that the Special Inspection Agency has been retained by the Owner to provide special inspection services for the project as required by IBC Chapter 17.
