2. Advisory Comment (no response required):  This review is based on the requirements of the Anchorage Administrative Code (AAC), 2006 International Building Code (IBC), 2006 International Residential Code (IRC) and all adopted references thereto as amended by MOA. The following comments must be addressed before a permit can be issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of the codes, or any federal, state or local regulations.

3. The submittal provided appears to be extremely incomplete. Please provide the following:

A) On the first building cross section it indicates to splice 1 1/8” plywood as necessary. Please clarify.

B) On the first building cross section it indicates to brace to above structure as needed. Please clarify.

C) On detail A, please clarify if there should be a connection of the 1 1/8” plywood to the supporting structure.

D) On the second building cross section it indicates angle brace where required. Please clarify.

E) On the second building cross section in indicates to add vertical and cross bracing where required. Please clarify.

F) On the second building cross section. There is a question “do they need to be close than this w/ plaster?” Please clarify.

G) Please clarify the connections of the verticals, cross bracing, angle bracing, and braces indicated in the first and section building cross sections. Connections of 1 1/8” plywood as well as 3 5/8” metal studs to supporting elements must also be provided.

H) Reference the last building cross section. There is a note that indicates 3 5/8” metal stud for bracing as necessary. Please clarify.

I) No design for any elements or connections could be located. Please clarify.

Please provide a written response to the comments and include one copy of additional or revise calculations, and two copies of additional or revise drawings. While not required it is extremely helpful to the reviewer if the response indicates where in the submittal each comments has been addressed.
