Advisory Information:

Correction - Comments 2-10 not addressed as of 2-7-11, MG.

1.  Provide a drainage report prepared and stamped by a civil engineer licensed in the State of Alaska per the 2007 DCM Ch:2.  Reference the 2007 Drainage Design Guidelines, Appendix A for preparation of a Drainage Report (follow outline beginning on page A-3 and include relevant forms) to be submitted with the drainage and grading plan.  Please include drainage calculation inputs and results in the EPA SWMM digital format on a CD if applicable. Resolved 2-7-11, MG.

2.  Ref. C-104, Provide complete storm drain details; outlet/overflow, storm drain stubout to site, flared end sections, inverts, complete bioswale details and longitudinal grades, etc.

3.  Please describe intent of snow melt area and show connection to storm drain facility.

4.  Ref. C-108, please label curb cut locations and show that all driveways and buffer areas shall be constructed such that no surface drainage originating off of the right-of-way is permitted to drain onto the traveled way of the public roadway.  Driveway Standard 11-9.25.03 Drainage: & DCM 2.020.C.

5.  Indicate the locations of temporary snow storage areas on the site grading and landscape plans with no obstruction to onsite drainage and no adverse drainage to adjacent lots, on site or the Right-of-Way.

6.  Ref. C-109, Please show how drainage that appears to accumulate at the NE corner is connected to a storm drain facility.

7.  During the 1-13-11 onsite review the existing swales and visible storm drain bypass structures appeared very frozen and in no condition to convey drainage during the winter months.  Please clarify that the final storm drain connection solution will convey drainage to a suitable outfall during all seasons.

8.  Ref. C-312, Indicate 12" maximum fill lifts.

9.  Ref. C-521, Without a drainage report and bioswale design details ("existing") it is not clear that the bioswales will have sufficient detention capacity for on site drainage.

10. Ref. C-551, Provide a note to indicate the installation of storm drain locator tape three feet below finish grade or two feet deep in the street structural section. MASS Section 20.13 Article 13.3.E, page 38.

11.  ADVISORY NOTE: No CCO or CO until all driveways, traffic ways and drainage elements of the approved plans have been verified to have been completed.  Provide a schedule to Pam Ronning prior to commencing work.  Provide 24 hours advanced notice for inspection by contacting:  Pam Ronning at 764-9267 or 343-8296.
