Advisory Information:
Eave overhangs and similar architectural projections must comply with UBC Section 705. Projections from walls of Type II construction shall be of noncombustible materials. Therefore, wood must not be used in this canopy. Please eliminate the wood. Please verify compliance of the skylight glazing and framing with UBC Section 2409.5. Please include snow drift effects per UBC Section 1641. All elements of the structural frame of Type II-FR buildings must be a two-hour fire-resistive assembly, while roof assemblies must be one-hour assemblies (UBC Table 6-A). Please verify compliance.
