Advisory Information:
C(1): In order for the oil interceptor to be accepted under UPC section 301.2, the discharge must be tested in accordance with EPA methods 602 and 610 and the Alaska Administrative Code 18AAC70, foot note No. 5. Test results must be submitted to AWWU's Industrial Pretreatment Facility for review and approval. The approved test results must then be submitted to Building Safety to obtain a certificate of occupancy. At this stage a building permit will be granted. However, if the quality of the discharge doesnot meet the minimum parameters defined in the above listed test proceedures, an alternate method of oil separation must be provided to receive a certificate of occupancy
