. C(1): STATUS: 10-27-2010. Please address the following comments. 11-30-2010 Comment have been addressed. Approved. C(2): The following comments based on the 2008 National Electrical Code NECmust be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, state or local regulations. 11-30-2010 No response required. C(3): EQUIPMENT REQUIRES THIRD PARTY LISTING: Please be aware that all equipment will requireand be checked for third party listing per NEC 110-3. Any new or existing equipment to be reused or relocated will be checked for listing by the electrical inspector. Any equipment found without a listing will be required to go through testing to gain approval. Inspector to field verify. NO RESPONSE REQUIRED. C(4): EMERGENCY GENERATOR LOAD ANALYSIS: Sheet E5.10 (MSB3 Load Summary and Emergency Generator Load Summary). The main distribution panel MSB3 Load summary indicates that the Cath Lab #2 X-Ray unit normal operating load is 100 KVA. The new Cath Lab is adding an additional load of 20 KVA to MSB3. The emergency generator load summary indicates that the Cath Lab is intended to operate at 10 KVA. Please re-calculate the emergency generator load at the normal operation of the Cath Labat 100 KVA. The additional load of the emergency generator system is 20 KVA. This additional load to the essential electrical system requires a complete emergency system load analysis. Refer to NEC Section 517. 11-30-2010 The engineer has provided the MOA with a letter of analysis and a letter from the hospital stating the hospital intention to rum the generator and the cath lab at 10 KVA (low mode operation). The intend to use it to finish the operation and shut down the emergency power to the cath lab. APPROVED C(5): When the above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three (3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stamp and signature. Refer to the MOA Amendment 23.230.70(A)(1). 11-30-2010 THE PLANS ARE APPROVED.
