NO WATER AVAILABLE ADDRESS: Provide a street address for the building. The address shall be plainly visible/legible from the street or road fronting the building. IFC 505.1 Each building at this site shall be individually identified for emergency responders to differentiate between buildings. The address (s) shall also be out at O'malley Road location also. RESOLVED 3/3/10 FIRE ACCESS: Provide a 20' wide lane to within 150' of all portions of the building. Use a minimum clear height of 13'6" and a 40' inside diameter turn radius. IBC 707.3 Verify/provide 1 hour separation for boiler room with 45 MIN rated door and Fire smoke dampers for duct penetrations.IBC Table 508.2. RESOLVED OCCUPANT LOAD CALCULATIONS: Maximum chair seating is listed as 217 seats for Nave. Provide occupant load factor from IBC Table 1004.1.1 that is used and area in square footage used for the Nave. What is the exact area of the Nave?? The Banquet Hall is shown to use an occupant load factor of 15 to compute the occupant load. Would this space not be utilized for dancing and other functions that utilized only chairs that would elevate the occupant load?? Also, the Narthex is shown to have an Occupant Load of 30 using an Airport function?? The OCCUPANT LOAD is critical in determining whether a Fire Sprinkler is required or not. The threshold is 300 or more persons to require one. Any deviation from prescriptive method shall be with the approval with the Fire Marshal and Building Official. RESOLVED ACCEPTED by Martin Schwan AFM 3/3/2010 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS - Permits: Submit plans and apply for separate review and permits for FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. Contrary to Code Study note, IBC 907.2.1 requires a Fire Alarm in A "occupancies" having an occupant load of 300 or more. IBC 901.6.2: Requires fire alarm to be monitored at a 24 hour approved location. RESOLVED SPRINKLER SYSTEM: A sprinkler system is required in an A-3 if the fire area is located on a floor other than the level of exit discharge. The basement has only one exit on a floor at the level of exit discharge and if the occupant load in the fire area has an occuopant load of 300 or more people. Please address.
