The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the NEC, or any federal, state or local amendments to these codes. 3/16/2009 No response is required. C(3): EQUIPMENT REQUIRES THIRD PARTY LISTING: Please be aware that all equipment will requireand be checked for third party listing per NEC 110-3. Any new or existing equipment to be reused or relocated will be checked for listing by the electrical inspector. Any equipment found without a listing will be required to go through testing to gain approval. Inspector to field verify. NO RESPONSE REQUIRED. C(4): EMERGENCY LIGHT TIME DELAY: Sheet E1.2 (Table: Lighting Fixture Schedule). Please verify that EX5 is provided with a time delay. Refer to NEC section 700.15. 3/16/2009 Sheet E1.2 fixture EX5 supplies dedicatedemergercny use lamp. C(5): EXISTING SERVICE LOAD CALCULATIONS: Sheet E3.5 (Load Calculation - Existing Service Entrance Load Calculation). The plans have no calculations of the feeder loads for the existing section of the building. The calculation note refers to panel schedules in sheet E3.6 but no references on the panel schedules. Refer to NEC Section 220.87. Please address. 3/16/2009 Sheet E3.5 and panel schedule on E3.6. The exisitng services is not included in this project. No modifications wre made to the exisitng service enrances. Engineer explaination was accepted. Approved. C(6): 50 AMPERE RECEPTACLE FEED FROM 20 AMPERE CIRCUIT BREAKERS: Sheet E1.3 (Electrical Equipment Connection Schedule). Items # 001 and 002 reference CO1 and CO2 are 50 ampere receptacles. They feed from 20 ampere circuit breakers (curcuit # 13 and 17) in panel schedule UPS-1 (sheet E8.1). Please clarify why 50 ampere receptacles feed from 20 ampere circuit breakers?. 3/16/2009 The enginner stated that equipment manufacturer instruciton call out 20amper circuit for equipment. Manufacturer equipment is frnished with 50 Amp cord and plug which require 50 amp recept. Approved. C(7): CIRCUITS IN PANEL SCHEDULE DO NOT MATCH FLOOR PLANS: Sheets E6.1 and E8.1 (Phase 1 Power Plan Level 1). Circuit numbers in panel UPS-2, do not match floor plans. Please address. 3/16/2009 UPS-2 panel schedule begins with circuit 43. PDC has corrected the typo and revised the plans to correct the typo. Aproved. C(8): TRANSFER SWITCH: Sheet E7.1 We can not very the following information: THE 500KW EMERGENCY GENERATOR: We could not verify the load on the generator. Please provide the exisitng load and the load that is intended to be added. 3/16/2009 The generator load are provided. The new added load is provided. Revewed and approved. THE FEED FROM THE DELAYED AUTO 200A, 4-POLE TRANSFER SWITCH TO THE GENERATOR #1: Please review the feed from the delayed auto 200A 4-pole transfer switch (#3) to the 500KW emergency generator. It should be4-4/0 & #2 GRD. Please address. 3/16/2009 Plans are revised and the feet is upsized to 4-4./0 and #2 Ground. Approved. 3/16/2009 The feed is reviwed to show 4-4/0, and #2 ground. approved. THE LOAD FROM THE DELAYED AUTO 600A, 4-POLE GFP TRANSFER SWITCH: We could not find the location of the new load from the delayed auto 600A, 4-pole GFP transfer switch. Please address. 3/16/2009 The new load from the delayed aout 600A is provided. Approved. PANEL #4 CONNECTION TO C(9): LOAD DOES NOT MATCH SCHEMATIC: Sheet E8.1 (Panel Schedule UPS). The load in the left side of the panel schedule does not match the schedule. Please address. 3/16/2009 Load in the panel schedule is fixed and not it matched. LOAD DOES NOT MATCH SCHEMATIC: Sheet E8.1 (Panel Schedule UPS-2). The circuit numbers do not match the floor plan. Please address. 3/16/2009 Circuit number are fixedto mach match the floor plan. C(10): When the above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three (3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stamp and signature.
