C(1): Status: Architectural Corrections required. 6/12/07 Status: Full Architectural Approval. 6/19/07 C(2): The following comments based on the 2003 International Building Code (IBC) and 2003 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IEBC, IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations. C(3): Drawing A-1 indicates a Dryvit EIFS exterior wall system that contains 1 1/2" of expanded polystyrene. Drawing A-3 indicates that the EIFS exterior wall system containing foam plastic is installed without a thermal barrier. Per IBC Section 2603.4.1.4, this foam plastic (up to 4" thick) is permitted for a one story building that is fully sprinklered, providing that the foam plastic insulation has a flame spread index of 25 or less and a smoke developed index of not more than 450. Note that some Dryvit EIFS exterior wall systems meet this criteria; verify with manufacturer as this may system may be one of them. 6/1/07 Resolved. ES Legacy Report 2019 for Dryvit EIFS exterior wall systems was submitted on 6/19/07. It verifies that the foam plastic insulation has a flame spread index of 25 or less and a smoke developed index of not more than 450. 6/19/07.
