C(1): CODE STUDY: Provide a complete code study to include a site plan, occupancy type, construction type, allowable area, actual area of entire bld, height, fire resistive ratings, hydrant locations and both required & actual fire flow, required & installed fire protection systems, etc. Does the existing building contain a fire suppression, sprinkler or fire alarm system? C(2): Submitted Code Study shows a mixed occupancy (S-1/B) using nonseparated use. Nonseparated use does not work as the B occuppancy is two story and under table 503 One only 1story is allowed for S-1. Separation or a sprinkler system for story increase is required. Please address. C(3): FIRE REVIEW STATUS: DISAPPROVED 12/10/04 Furch C(4): Re submittal dated 1/28/05 modifies original scope of project to show the 1 story office as a separate building. Verify that the hangar is a group II aircraft hangar per NFPA 409 with no major repair work or painting of aircraft to occur within building. C(5): SEPARATION: Exterior walls of the existing aircraft hangar are required to be 2 hour rated where < 30 ft to the property line. The assumed property line between the hangar & the new building and the hangar office & the new building is < 30 ft and the wall is nonrated. IBC 312.2 A code study for the existing building would be helpful. C(6): EXISTING HANGAR BALCONY: Verify construction & fire resistance of existing hangar balcony meets IBC1406.3. show assumed property line between existing & new office space as it appears the balcony & porch stairs encroach.
