Advisory Information:
. C(1): This review is based on the requirements of the 1997 Uniform Building Code and all adopted references thereto. The following comments must be addressed before a permit can be issued. C(2): Reference Sections 3313.2 and 3313.4 and Local Amendments. Please add notes to the drawing regarding preparation of ground and minimum compaction requirements. RESOLVED 10/28/02 CSK C(3): Please provide verification that fill quantities will not exceed the amount stated on the original application. How much fill has been placed to date? If the total amount of fill (already in place plus additional future quantities) meets or exceeds that amount, the permit should be updated for the actual quantity. If the total fill will exceed 5000 CY, it is considered an "engineered fill". An engineered fill requires a geotechnical report with recommendations for placement, grading and drainage. If the fill quantities will exceed 5000 cy, please provide a geotechnical report RESOLVED 11/20/02 CSK: PER PHONE CONVERSATION WITH PAT KROCHINA, NOTHING HAS CHANGED FROM ORIGINAL PLANS, SEE ALSO LETTER FROM kEITH MOBLEY DATED 10/16/02 CSK C(4): Inspections should have been called for when the site was cleared and prepared to receive fill, when 50% of fill was placed, and when grading operations were completed. Because no permit was ever issued and so inspections were done, please provide a letter from the contractor verifying that compaction and grading efforts have been accomplished for the fill already place. REWSOLVED 11/20/02 CSK: SEE LETTER FROM KEITH MOBLEY DATED 10/16/02 CSK C(5): Please provide a special inspection program for this fill. Since the fill is to be placed on an as-acquired basis, a special inspector can verify that the existing fill surface is properly prepared to receive additional fill, track the quantity of fill placed, verify that the fill is compacted properly and that new drainage patterns are not detrimental to adjacent properties, inaddition to providing the informations spelled out in the form proposed by Northern Geotechnical Engineering. Note that special inspections do not eliminate the requirement for inspections by MOA. RESOLVED 11/06/02 CSK: PLEASE CALL FOR INSPECTIONS PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF ANY ADDED FILL, AT LEAST ONCE DURING PLACEMENT OF FILL - OR MORE IF WORK IS DONE IN STAGES, AND CALL FOR A FINAL GRADING INSPECTION. C(6): Please provide for approval the names and resumes of qualifying experience for special inspectors. RESOLVED 11/20/02 CSK: NOT REQUIRED C(7): The following comments are based on the information submitted 10/16/02.
