. C(1): The following comments based on the 1997 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations. C(2): Reference the plumbing fixture schedule and 1/M2.1. A 2 inch waste is required for fixtures P-8, P-10 and P-11 per tables 7-3 and 7-5. STATUS: NOT RESOLVED. PLEASE UPDATE PLANS IN FEILD AND AT MOA. C(3): 3/M2.1: Reference the oil separator detail. What is this thing and how does it work? Is the intent to design a custom unit or specify an off the shelf model? Please clarify. Reference section 1017. STATUS: NOT RESOLVED. THE SAND TRAP CONSTRUCTION MUST COMPLY WITH SECTION 1016.2. THE OIL INTERCEPTOR MUST BE PIPED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 1017 AND MFGR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. WHY IS THE SAND TRAP VENTED? WHERE IS THE SEWER VENT ON THE OIL/WATER SEPARATOR? THE OIL SEPARATOR VAPOR COMPARTMENT VENT CANNOT BE CONNECTED TO THE SEWER VENT PER SECTION 1017. C(4): 1/M2.2, 1/M2.4: Please revise plans to clarify the type of backflow protection required for the glycol system connection. Reference section 603. STATUS: NOT RESOLVED. PLEASE UPDATE MOA FIELD AND OFFICE PLANS. C(5): 2/M2.3: The new gas pipe sizes do not comply with table 12-3. Also, new connections to existing pipes are overloading the existing lines. Gas pipes sizes shall comply with table 12-3 or other approved methods in accordance with section 1217.3. STATUS: NOT RESOLVED. PLEASE PROVIDE CALCULATIONS SHOWING A MAXIMUM 0.5 INCH WATER COLUMN PRESSURE DROP IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 1217.3 OR REVISE PIPE SIZES TO COMPLY WITH TABLE 12-3. C(6): Please provide method of sizing and calculations for the domestic hot and cold water system to allow verification of pipe sizes. STATUS: NOT RESOLVED. WHEN USING TABLE 6-5 TO SIZE PIPING SERVING FLUSHOMETER VALVES, THE FIXTURE UNIT VALUES IN SECTION 610.10 MUST BE USED. EXAMPLE: SINCE ANY LINE SERVING 2 WATER CLOSETS IS RATED AT 70 FIXTURE UNITS, A 2 INCH LINE IS REQUIRED (46-60 PSIG, 400' COLUMN). THIS REQUIRES UPSIZING NEARLY ALL OF THE BRANCH PIPING SERVING WATER CLOSETS. ALSO, WHAT IS THE GPM DEMAND OF THE 2 INCH LINE SERVING THE GLYCOL TANKS? C(7): 4/M2.4: A 4 inch cleanout is required for the 4 inch line serving fixtures P-9 and P-10 in accordance with table 7-6. Also, a 4 inch cleanout is requiredfor toilet rooms 111 and 112. STATUS: NOT RESOLVED. PLEASE UPDATE MOA FIELD AND OFFICE PLANS.
