The following comments based on the 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. Theapproval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations. RESOLVED 7-28-09. M001 Above Grade Waste Piping The waste and vent piping within the lower level ceiling and thevent piping within the upper level ceiling are not permitted to be ABS type material when located within a return air plenum. Please address. 7-28-09 UNRESOLVED. IT IS ASSUMED THAT IF ABS IS ALLOWED BELOW THE FLOOR FOR WASTE PIPING, THAT THE CONTRACTOR COULD ATTEMPT TO USE IT ABOVE THE FLOOR INCLUDING THE ASSOCIATED VENTS WHICH EVENTUALLY NEED TO PASS THROUGH THE CEILING PLENUM AND OUT THROUGH THE ROOF. PLEASE CLARIFY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CONTRACTOR. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 7-29-09. M201 & M202 Three fixtures on each floor plan are labeled as 701.01 which cannot be found on the plumbing fixture schedule. Please clarify. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 7-28-09. M201, 7/M501 & 8/M501 "Wet venting is limited to vertical drainage piping receiving the discharge from the trap arm of one (1) and two (2) fixture units that also serves as a vent for not to exceed four (4) fixtures." (UPC 908.1) The dishwasher and the 3-compartment sink exceed the two (2) fixture limit for wet venting. Please address. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 7-28-09. 7/M501 The three compartment sink requires its own vented p-trap in addition to the vented flow contrl fitting (UPC 1014.1.1 & 1014.2.1). When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised plumbing pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.
