. C(1): The following review is based on the 2006 International Building Code, and all documents thereto referenced, as amended. This review is not warranted for completeness and plan approval does not permit violation of these codes or other regulations or laws as may apply. 6/12/08 Calculations submitted to date have been reviewed. Minor corrections required as indicated in the unresolved comments. Please submit full size drawings. Note that 3 deferred submittal items are required to be listed on the plan drawings. 1. Steel joist engineering/ plans; 2. Roof membrane attachment details and evaluation of fastening under the stated loads; 3. Mechanical equipment attachments under seismic and wind loads. C(2): The lateral force resisting system proposed for the "Tower" does not meet the definition of an ordinary reinforced brace frame. The lower portion resists lateral forces primarily by bending in the columns. The proposed system appears to be a hybrid. Review of this portion of construction will not be completed pending clarification of the LFRS system, and revision of analysis and details as appropriate. 5/15/08 Tower calculation submittal reviewed, additional comments posted. No plans submitted, additional comments may be issued when plans are submitted.
