. C(1): The following comments based on the 2003 International Building Code (IBC) and 2003 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. C(2): Since the buildings are 3 stories, they are probably type V one hour fire resistive construction. IEBC sections 404 and 504 require that repairs and alterations be done in a manner tht maintains the level of fire protection provided. The plans show new cementitious soffit board on the underside of roof and floor construction. Please provide the fire resistance rating of the cementitious material, and provide verification that this material maintains the level of existing fire resistance, or is equivalent to one hour fire resistive construction. Resolved 4-30-06 per revised plans.
