. C(1): The following comments based on the 2003 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. C(2): Please provide an architectural plan and code study sealed by an Alaska licensed architect. The code study shall include type of construction, area of building, height of building and number of stories, allowable area and height, occupancy classification, sprinkler system, etc. The code study shall also clarify whether the additional floorarea is a mezzanine or second floor, and clarify egress from this level. Resolved. An architectural plan and code study sealed by an Alaska licensed architect was submitted on February 27, 2007. DEC 3/7/07 Please note that the structural plans show a mixture of combustible and noncombustible construction. Noncombustible construction may be required depending on the outcome of the code study. The structural plans were revised to show noncombustible construction as required for Type II-B Construction. However, the "plywood panel edges" shown on details 3, 4, 6, & 9 on S-1 needs clarification (or revision if it is associated with the original
