IMPORTANT NOTES: 1. Existing pump served by the replacement controller is an NEC 695 fire pump per AFD, not a jockey pump. 2. Serialized matching of fire pump to controller is not being required by AFD. 3. Current NEC 695.3(F) and (G) requires transfer of power from normal source to generator to take place inside the fire pump room by means of a transfer switch listed for fire pump service. AFD is NOT requiring this for a one-for-one controller replacement. 4. All work took place inside the penthouse fire pump room. Did not investigate fire pump circuit protection from fire.
