This is also true of bottom and top track. Steel framing members that have sustained several cycles of bending or of substrates being applied, removed, and reapplied can be subject to weakening and no longer retain their original strength. NOTE: The SSMI (Steel Stud Manufacturing Institute) creates guidelines for installation of clean and sound materials and must be adhered to. Areas that are rated assemblies have revealed deficiencies in in fire-rated assemblies such as the main mechanical shaft and stairwell. The shaft -liner at the foot of walls, head of walls, outside corners as well as the spray applied fire-proofing shall be inspected after it has been repaired, replaced, or addressed to be brought into compliance. A submitted and listed assembly must be reviewed, approved and installed. Inspection Corrections DateStatusCodeDescriptionRefLocationComments
