During testing of the 9th floor several offices did not meet the minimum 60 dBA on the alert tone as required by local amendment 23.45.907.5.2.1.1. <div><br></div><div>During the test 2 to 3 speakers were taken from 1/2 watt to 2 watts to make 60 dBA in the office, but it caused the amplifier to be over loaded. Designer and building owner need to evaluate on adding speakers to offices or adding additional amplifiers to allow for speaker wattage to be increased. Note: increased wattage may cause a decrease in voice intelligibility. </div> |
