Click Here To View Another Inspection Inspection #: 623407 Inspection Type: Roof Nailing Inspector: H.Kahlstrom Result: Approved Comment: West High 8-5-20 Within the grid confines between C.1 to C.6 and 5.1 to 6.1 on J roof observed the following. 1/2” plywood sheathing attachment with .148x 2-3/8” galvanized Grip Rite nails. Nailing pattern is 6” on center in the field and 2” on center at perimeter panel edges. Sheathing was installed with a 4’ stagger between edge seams. CMSTC16 strapping was Installed on a 6’ spacing each way attached with .148 x 1-1/2” galvanized Grip Rite nails in each hole. All CMSTC16 field splices were 14” or greater. At 3 locations on the south end termination detail consisted of a MTSD5 marriage strap that attached to a HTT5 tension tie anchored to the concrete curb with a 5/8” x 8” A-307 galvanized threaded rod. The threaded rods were previously epoxied in on 7-29-20 with Hilti HIT RE 500V-3 (expiration 7-20) with 6-1/2” deep prepared holes utilizing the Hilti vacuum bit. Also documented the installation of (18) cmu wall seismic bracing brackets which conform with detail 6/S5.1. The bracing system consisted of a L6x6x1/2x3” installed on each side of the wall attached with (2) 1/4”x3” sds screws and a 1/8x4.5x15” cover plate secured down with (6) 1/4”x3” sds screws. The seismic brackets were installed on 3’ centers at the following locations. North wall of rm # 50B. North,east and west walls of rm 51G. (2) clips at the northeast corner of rm #50J.
